At Plains Road Dental Office, we pride ourselves on the care and knowledge of our staff. Our experienced and well-trained staff take every measure to ensure that your visit is as comfortable as possible. Kristy and Erin will greet you with a smile and are always there to answer any questions about your insurance or to schedule your family’s visits with our office. Corrine and Mindy are our gentle and skilled hygienists who are ready to educate you on how to maintain your oral health. Last, but certainly not least, Emily and Kumiko assist our doctors when you visit them for your appointment. They keep you entertained and comfortable and ensure that your visit goes smoothly. The entire Plains Road Dental Office staff is eager to take care of your dental needs and to make sure that your visit is a pleasant one.

Dr. Kiran Grover
Dr. Kiran Grover was born in Mississauga, Ontario and grew up in Ottawa. After completing undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of Ottawa, Dr. Grover completed her dental studies at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2004. During dental school, she was active in volunteering, the highlight of which was a mission trip to Peru where she and her fellow students treated the underserved villagers living along the Amazon River. After practicing dentistry in Connecticut for three years, she returned to Canada to practice in London, Ontario and most recently at the Firehall Dentist in Waterdown, Ontario.
She is very excited to apply her experiences and expertise in the care of her patients at Plains Road Dental Office. Dr. Grover strives to remain at the forefront of dentistry by actively participating in continuing education and is a member of the Ontario Dental Association and the Burlington Dental Academy. She is excited about her latest educational endeavour, having completed a Dental Sleep Medicine mini-residency at Tufts University in Boston. Dr. Grover is committed to providing quality dentistry to patients of all ages, placing the comfort of her patients as a priority. Dr. Grover has called Burlington her home since 2011 and enjoys exploring the beauty surrounding the area with her husband and two sons.

Dr. Andres Traverse
Dr Traverse is a 1980 graduate of the Royal Dental Hospital School of Dental Surgery, University of London, United Kingdom. He emigrated to Canada in 1982 and worked for a few years in Newfoundland & Labrador. After a further period in the UK he returned to Canada and has worked in Burlington since 1990 as a general dental practitioner. Dr Traverse enjoys providing a wide range of dental services including implant work which has led him to teaching assignments. His interests include writing and collecting material relating to historical subjects, outdoor pursuits and is a member of a number of societies. He is fond of cats and dogs.

Kristy
Kristy started at our office more than 20 years ago as a dental assisting student. After she completed her co-op placement, she stayed here working as a dental assistant. You can now find her answering phone calls and tending to patients as our receptionist. Outside the office, Kristy is known as the “hockey” and “music” mom, travelling wherever her boys’ hobbies take her.

Erin
Erin’s smiling face will greet you upon your arrival into our office. Having worked at Plains Road Dental Office part-time for about a decade, Erin switched to working in a full-time capacity in 2006 as our instrument sterilization technician, and, most recently, as one of our receptionists, displaying her dedication to the safety and comfort of our patients. It is her meticulous character that has also earned her the role of one of our Health and Safety Officers. Erin can help you schedule appointments, interpret insurance communications, and answer questions you may have about your visits at Plains Road Dental Office.

Corrine
Corrine graduated from the Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene College in 2007 and started working at our office shortly after as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Corrine also teaches competitive dance and enjoys spending time with her three beautiful children.

Mindy
Mindy graduated from Niagara College in 2007 and started working at our office as a Registered Dental Hygienist in January 2008. When she’s not helping keep your smile healthy and clean, Mindy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, spinning, and yoga.

Emily
Emily started working at our office in March 2017. She brings over 10 years experience as a level 2 dental assistant. Emily has a love for all animals, and especially loves her 2 cats. She also enjoys gardening and is very knowledgeable in tropical plants.

Kumiko
Kumiko joined our team in May 2018 as a level 2 dental assistant, graduating from college in 2016. Prior to starting a career in dental assisting, Kumiko worked as a registered dental hygienist in Japan for 15 years, and in a denture lab for 3 years. Kumiko is our organizational specialist; she enjoys finding unique ways to keep our office neat and tidy! She also enjoys cooking and trying new cuisine.
